WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
“Does the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? Yes, indeed. However, the belief of the Iglesia Ni Cristo regarding the Lord Jesus Christ is what the Bible teaches about Him, no more, no less. What the apostles teach about Christ is how the Iglesia Ni Cristo recognized the Lord.”
“The Lord Jesus Christ did not only made an explicit statement that He is a Man, but also showed that He is different from God…Although for us the Lord Jesus Christ is not God, however, we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Lord, the Savior and God’s greatest messenger. For us, the true God is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ because this is what He himself taught to us.”
IS NOT GOD
“Why the Lord Jesus Christ is not God? Because there is only one true God, the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ is not the Father but the Son of the One True God.”
“Another strong biblical evidence that the Lord Jesus Christ is not God is His explicit pronouncement that He is a Man…Because God is not man, and man is not God, then, when Jesus said that He is a man it only means that He is not God.”
“If all people will rely solely in the Bible in their belief about the nature of Christ, no one would have fallen into the false belief that Christ is the true God because the Bible clearly proves that the Lord Jesus Christ is different from the Lord God.”
“The belief that the Lord Jesus Christ is God contradicts the teaching of the Bible that the Father alone is the true God because if Jesus is God then there will be two Gods.”
“God cannot be the author of confusion and absurdities. The Bible explicitly said that “God is not the author of confusion” (cf. I Cor. 14:33 KJV). What God wants is to all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth…Do you know that accepting Jesus as God will result to absurdities?”
