“to address the issue raised by “Sonia

How Unfortunate!
This is to address the issue
raised by “Sonia Santiago” (pseudonym) who has dared to dishonorably use the
name of Mrs. Jovita Nova to gain sympathy from other people. Inasmuch as I
would like to refrain from touching this sensitive issue, but as you can see in
the picture, it was “Sonia Santiago” who has shown disrespect to the memory of
Ms. Nova by maliciously editing my picture and placing therein words that did
not come from me.
We do not rejoice in hearing
sad news about members who are expelled from the Church Of Christ. It does not
bring us any delight to know of the miserable condition they have brought upon
themselves or the tragedy they have found themselves in.
Many would prefer us to remain
silent about such news so as not to offend the relatives of the person
concerned or “rub salt in the wound” so to speak. And we would have preferred
the same, were it not for our concern for the brethren who, unknowingly, might
be treading the same path of destruction. However, it is not our intention to
disrespect the person who died or their immediate relatives and loved ones.
In fact, the Book of Acts
narrates what happened to Ananias and Sapphira and the tragedy they brought
upon themselves when they betrayed the unity of the Church. This couple died
and their unexpected death was narrated in the Bible. We understand that there
is an important reason why their death was still narrated in the Bible even
though it might be construed as dishonoring the memories of the departed. Apostle
Paul says,
“For everything
that was written in the past was written to teach us…” (Rom. 15:4 NIV)
The story of Ananias and
Sapphira teaches us the evil of betraying the unity of the Church. It teaches
us that nothing can be hidden from God and that wicked deeds done in secret
would in due time, be revealed by God through the Church Administration.
It is in lined with this that
I would like to inform you about what happened to a certain Jovita Nova, a
former member of the Church Of Christ from the District of Southern Midwest.
She is one of those influenced by Lowell Menorca II aka Antonio Ebangelista
into signing their version of “DECLARATION OF LOYALTY TO GOD.”
Before any disciplinary action
was imposed upon her for joining the said rebellious activity spearheaded by
Boyet Menorca, she was summoned by the present District Minister of Southern
Midwest, Bro. Eduardo Javier. But then, Ms. Nova opted to waive her right to be
heard by not responding to the call.
Meanwhile, she underwent a
medical operation which unfortunately was unsuccessful. She died then and there
without ever having to talk to the Church Administration to explain her
betrayal. At least, Ananias and Sapphira had the chance to speak for themselves
in front of those administering them unlike Ms. Nova.
We do not know the extent of
the treachery of Ms. Nova as she could be one of the administrators of the
anonymous FB pages that are sowing lies and baseless accusations against the
Church Of Christ and its Executive Minister.
What we know is that her
treachery was not forever kept but was revealed in due time. What we also know
is that her treachery died with her. More importantly, we also know that God
will hold Boyet Menorca responsible for her spiritual regression and demise.
